Temple Fork Outfitters (TFO) is expanding its 2026 lineup with four new rod series, announced alongside this year’s ICAST show. The releases include the newly revamped Resolve series, the Deep Eddy nearshore series, and an evolution of the LK Legacy — the Legacy fly rod family — the single-hand Legacy (3wt-8wt) and the new Legacy Two-Handed.
Each series was developed with input from working guides and touring professionals, and each targets a distinct angling need: tournament bass fishing, Northeast nearshore saltwater, and a fly rod line built around Lefty Kreh’s casting philosophy.
Resolve: A Bass Rod Built Around Tournament Performance
The Resolve series was developed with Bassmaster Elite pro Chris Zaldain, whose feedback shaped the rod’s action and handling through a season of tournament use. The new Resolve replaces the previous Resolve Bass, carrying the name forward into a rebuilt, more refined lineup. Positioned as one of the standout new bass rods for 2026, Resolve is aimed at anglers who need a rod that performs across techniques rather than being a single-application tool.

Six handle styles, one system — from the RC684F Medium to the RC766MF Heavy and the spinning RS lineup, the Resolve’s color coding keeps 21 models easy to grab by feel.
Under the hood, Resolve is built on a Toray T1100G carbon fiber blank — one of the most advanced blank materials available — paired with SeaGuide SS316 guides with Zirconia inserts, feel-through reel seats with a carbon fiber insert, and AA Custom Grade cork grips. The lineup also grew significantly with this release, expanding from 9 rods in the original Resolve Bass series to 21 models across casting and spinning configurations.
“The Resolve series is absolutely amazing. The guys at TFO hit it out of the park with this lineup,” Zaldain said. “It’s super light, it’s super balanced — and balance is the biggest thing I look for as a professional angler.”
According to Zaldain, the series covers ground from finesse presentations to power fishing: “It literally covers every single technique available, from the modern stuff to old-school spinner baits, deep-diving crankbaits, and flip-and-pitch. Whether you’re an early-season tournament rookie or a seasoned vet like myself, it’s covered.”
Deep Eddy: Purpose-Built for Northeast Nearshore Fishing
The Deep Eddy series fills a specific gap: a nearshore rod built for the striper, fluke, and tautog fisheries that define Northeast saltwater fishing from New Jersey through Massachusetts. Rather than a generalized inshore rod, Deep Eddy is positioned and marketed specifically to anglers fishing the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts coastlines.

TFO Deep Eddy nearshore saltwater rod — built for stripers, blackfish, and fluke. Spinning & conventional models. Lifetime warranty.
For anglers searching for a dedicated striper rod or fluke rod rather than an all-purpose saltwater stick, Deep Eddy is built to match that use case directly. As one guide put it while describing the year-round grind of Northeast nearshore fishing: “The Deep Eddy series can do absolutely anything you need in the Northeast — stripers in April, fluke in May, sea bass in June, tautog in October, back to stripers in December. You’re fine for the whole year on one rod.” He also pointed to the build quality behind that versatility: “It’s got stainless steel guides and a full lifetime warranty. There’s no other rod you need — if you just need one, this is the one.”
Deep Eddy starts with a Toray intermediate modulus carbon fiber blank, reinforced with X Wrap construction to reduce torsional twist under load. Components are built for saltwater durability, including Seaguide Alien Reel Seats, Seaguide Marine Grade 316 stainless steel guides, custom contoured EVA grips, and Delrin gimbals. The series is available in both spinning and conventional configurations across three power ratings.
Legacy: A Fly Rod Series Rooted in Lefty Kreh’s Casting Legacy
The Legacy series carries forward the casting principles associated with the late Lefty Kreh, one of fly fishing’s most influential teachers. The new Legacy marks a significant step up from the previous LK Legacy, with guides who fished early prototypes noting real improvements over the outgoing rod.
Much of that improvement comes down to the blank itself. The Legacy is built on a matte grey carbon fiber blank reinforced with TFO’s proprietary Kevlar weave — which prevents the blank from ovaling under load — plus graphene reinforcement that improves recovery speed and dampening without adding weight. It’s a meaningful jump from the outgoing LK Legacy. Components include premium black SiC stripping guides, blacked-out double-foot snake guides, premium cork grips, a fighting butt on the 6- through 8-weight models, and an integrated hook keeper, with the series spanning nine models from 3-weight through 8-weight.
Legacy is designed for anglers who want a single-hand fly rod with a heritage-driven design philosophy rather than a purely spec-driven one — built around feel and casting efficiency as much as raw numbers.

The TFO Legacy is a premium extra-fast action fly rod built for experienced freshwater anglers who demand distance, accuracy, and power.
Colorado guide Dustin Harcourt, who has guided the lower Colorado River since 1990, keeps the Legacy in his boat daily: “The Legacy is what has been in my boat every day since it came out. It has the backbone to handle big fish… In my book, it’s a big fish rod, and that’s why I have it in my boat every single day.”
Longtime TFO sales representative Bobby Jones, who worked directly with Lefty Kreh during the original Legacy’s development, described how the new rod carries that philosophy forward: “The new Legacy continues on with all the best parts of the Legacy series and what Lefty would have wanted that series to evolve into.” After casting early prototypes on the water, he added: “Right out of the chute, the new Legacy prototypes were right in our wheelhouse. They fit our casting styles really well.”
Legacy Two-Handed: Extending the Legacy Philosophy to Spey and Switch Casting
Rounding out the launch is the Legacy Two-Handed, which extends the Legacy series’ Kreh-influenced design into two-handed applications. For anglers searching for a two-handed fly rod or spey rod built on the same casting philosophy as the original Legacy, this release fills that role directly — giving steelhead, salmon, and big-water anglers a two-handed option from the same heritage line.
The Legacy Two-Handed shares the same Kevlar-reinforced, graphene-enhanced blank construction as its single-hand counterpart, built for stability under heavy two-handed line systems and big-water fights. Componentry includes premium black SiC-style stripping guides, blacked-out double-foot snake guides, reconstituted tapered cork handles, and an integrated hook keeper, across a six-model series spanning 10’6″ to 11’6″.
Bobby Jones tied the new release back to the standard Kreh himself set for the brand: “I think about whether he would put his stamp of approval on this particular product. Technology has changed a lot, but that mindset hasn’t.” He also noted the philosophy Kreh brought to TFO from the start — building genuinely good rods at a fair price to bring more people into the sport, rather than chasing the highest price point the market would bear.

Resolve, Deep Eddy, and Legacy are available now through TFO dealers and at templeforkoutfitters.com. The Legacy Two-Handed rods will be available in late July.
