Football might be the Friday (or Thursday) night tradition, but bass fishing is carving out its own spotlight in high school athletics through the Texas High School Bass Association, and teams like Leopard Fishing.
What began in 2014 as a small group of passionate students has grown into 17 teams and 33 anglers proudly representing Lovejoy High School in Lucas, Texas.

This past weekend, Leopard Fishing sent all of its teams to Lake Ray Roberts for the first tournament of the season. Equipped with TFO bass rods, the anglers brought home the Team of the Tournament Championship Trophy. As a combined team, they weighed in a total of 41.72 lbs. with 18 fish, and secured both 2nd and 3rd place for individual teams.
The Leopard Fishing Team is serious about bass fishing. They’re in it to learn, grow, and win, and this season is already off to an incredible start. Congrats, Leopard Fishing!
